Antibody tested to tame excruciating nerve pain

NCT ID NCT04158752

Summary

This study tested a medication (an antibody) to see if it could reduce severe pain in the face or throat for people with small fiber neuropathy or fibromyalgia. Researchers enrolled 26 adults to measure changes in pain levels and the need for other pain medications. A key goal was also to confirm the treatment's safety, as it was already approved for migraines.
