First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether two types of chest wall nerve blocks (PECS and SAP) could reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after coronary artery bypass surgery. A total of 243 adults participated. The blocks aim to improve recovery by lowering pain scores, reducing opioid use, and shortening time on a breathing machine and in the ICU.
