New study aims to ease agony of hip fracture surgery

Summary
This study aims to find the best way to manage pain for patients having surgery for a broken hip. It will compare two different nerve-blocking injections given before surgery to see which one better reduces pain during the anesthesia process and in the first day after the operation. The study will observe 64 patients to measure their pain levels and need for additional pain medication.
