Nerve block anesthesia may speed recovery after hip surgery
NCT ID NCT07163598
Summary
This study looked back at medical records to see if one type of anesthesia leads to better early recovery for older adults after hip replacement surgery. It compared ultrasound-guided nerve block anesthesia to general anesthesia in over 500 patients aged 60 and older. The main goal was to see which method resulted in better quality of recovery scores shortly after surgery.
