Nerve block before heart surgery could stop dangerous Post-Op heart flutters
NCT ID NCT07271615
Summary
This study is testing if a simple nerve-block injection in the neck, given before heart bypass surgery, can prevent patients from developing irregular heartbeats after their operation. The trial will involve 60 adults undergoing bypass surgery. Researchers will compare outcomes between patients who receive the nerve block and those who do not to see if it reduces this common complication.
