Sugar water vs. saline: which makes your arm numb longer?
NCT ID NCT07386327
Summary
This study is testing if using sugar water instead of saline to dilute a numbing medicine works better for arm nerve blocks. Researchers will give 90 patients having arm surgery one of the two mixtures to see which one works faster and provides longer-lasting pain relief after the operation. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage pain from surgery.
