Neck surgery patients may need fewer opioids with nerve block

Summary
This study tests whether a nerve block can help reduce the need for strong painkillers (opioids) after neck surgery. About 60 people having posterior cervical spine surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block plus standard pain medication or standard pain medication alone. The goal is to see if the nerve block leads to lower opioid use, less pain, and a shorter hospital stay.
