New nerve block aims to stop Post-Surgery confusion in seniors

Summary
This study is testing if adding a specific nerve block to standard spinal anesthesia can reduce confusion (delirium) in older adults after hip replacement surgery. Researchers will enroll 144 patients aged 75 and older. They will compare outcomes between those who receive the nerve block and those who do not, looking at delirium rates, pain levels, and opioid use.
