New back surgery pain relief could cut opioid use

NCT ID NCT06987409

Summary

This study is testing a new method to manage pain after lower back surgery. It involves placing tiny catheters near the spine to deliver a numbing medicine continuously for over two days. Researchers will compare this approach to standard pain care in 100 patients to see if it reduces pain, improves recovery, and lowers the need for opioid painkillers.
