NCT ID NCT07355400
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a reusable, battery-operated device called NeoPill that cleans the mouth mechanically in just 30 seconds. Fifteen adults with braces will use it once, and researchers will measure bacteria levels before and after. The goal is to see if it can help people with braces maintain better oral hygiene without chemicals.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
NeoPill oral hygiene device
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple, reusable tool for better oral hygiene in people with braces, reducing plaque and gum problems.
What could go wrong
This is a very early, small study with only 15 people and a single use. It may not show a meaningful reduction in bacteria, and results may not apply to daily home use.
