NCT ID NCT05990543
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new drug called nelmastobart combined with the chemotherapy capecitabine in people with metastatic colorectal cancer that no longer responds to standard treatments. About 59 adults will receive the combination to see if it is safe and can slow cancer growth. The goal is to find a better option for patients with limited choices.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
nelmastobart and capecitabine
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced colorectal cancer who have run out of standard chemotherapy choices.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial with only 59 participants, so results may not apply to all patients. The drug combination may cause side effects or fail to improve survival.
