First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a system called Nelli that uses cameras and artificial intelligence to detect seizures in children without needing the usual brain-wave sensors. The system was compared to standard video-EEG monitoring in 150 children aged 6 to 21 who were already being monitored for suspected motor seizures. The goal was to see if Nelli could correctly identify seizures at least 70% of the time.
