Cash for college: does money help students graduate and get jobs?
NCT ID NCT07463131
Summary
This study will test whether providing a guaranteed income payment (a 'negative income tax') helps community college students in Omaha complete their degrees or certificates and get jobs in their field. Researchers will enroll 750 low-income students and randomly assign some to receive the payments while tracking educational, employment, and wellbeing outcomes. The goal is to understand how financial support affects students' success and overall life stability.
