First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests if a continuous infusion of nefopam, a non-opioid painkiller, can lower the amount of opioids needed and improve pain control after pancreatoduodenectomy (a complex pancreatic surgery). About 93 adults scheduled for this surgery will be randomly assigned to receive nefopam, lidocaine, or epidural analgesia. Researchers will measure opioid use, pain scores, and recovery quality for 48 hours after surgery.
