Can a painkiller cream stop ugly burn scars?
NCT ID NCT04685577
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested a cream called Nefopam to see if it can prevent or reduce bad scars in burn patients. About 50 adults with burns received small, controlled cuts on their hips. One cut was treated with the cream, the other with a placebo. Researchers measured scar size, thickness, color, and healing over several months. The goal is to find a simple cream that helps burns heal with less scarring.
