NCT ID NCT05622279
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested a new treatment for people with long-lasting heel pain (plantar fasciitis) that didn't get better with standard care like physical therapy or steroid shots. The treatment uses a thin needle to gently break up scar tissue and then injects a concentrated solution of the patient's own blood platelets to help healing. The goal was to see if this combination reduces pain and is safe for patients.
