Summary
This study compared a new magnetic device (Needle-pilot) with standard ultrasound for placing central lines in the subclavian vein. 51 doctors and trainees practiced on a mannequin torso. The main goal was to see if the device shortened the time to successfully draw blood. The study did not involve real patients and aimed to gather information on the device's potential usefulness.
