Does shaking the needle more during a lung biopsy improve results?

NCT ID NCT07424807

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether the number of times a needle is moved back and forth during a lung biopsy affects how well doctors can diagnose enlarged lymph nodes in the chest. About 180 adults will be randomly assigned to either a low or high number of needle movements. The goal is to see which method gives better tissue samples and a clearer diagnosis.
