Brain drain surgery tested for Alzheimer's

NCT ID NCT07458620

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a neck surgery is safe for people with Alzheimer's disease. Surgeons will create tiny connections between drainage channels and veins in the neck, hoping to help the brain clear harmful proteins. The study will monitor 35 participants for at least a year to check safety and see if the procedure affects memory or brain scans.
