Small study explores neck surgery benefits in advanced throat cancer
NCT ID NCT07180173
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study reviewed medical records of 7 adults with advanced nasopharyngeal cancer (stage N3) to see if removing neck lymph nodes before radiation helps prevent cancer from coming back or spreading. Researchers also looked at whether certain imaging features could predict recurrence. The goal was to understand if this approach improves survival, but because it was a small, observational study, no firm conclusions can be drawn.
