Summary

This study aims to understand the long-term health and nutritional effects on premature babies who survived a serious gut inflammation called necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Researchers will follow 200 children for five years to track growth, allergies, feeding problems, and other complications. The goal is to identify patterns that could help doctors provide better long-term care for these vulnerable infants.
