First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study aims to learn more about near-death experiences (NDEs) by interviewing 200 adult patients who survived life-threatening events in the hospital, such as cardiac arrest or coma. Researchers will ask about their memories and feelings during those critical moments. The goal is to better understand these mysterious experiences, not to test a treatment.
