Scientists hunt for blood clues in Teens' unexplained daily headaches

NCT ID NCT06018025

Summary

This study aimed to understand and treat New Daily Persistent Headache (NDPH) in children and adolescents aged 10-18. Participants received standard headache medications, including a specific monthly injection, while researchers measured proteins in their blood before and after treatment to look for biological markers. The goal was to see how well the treatment worked on headache frequency and disability, and to learn more about what causes these ongoing headaches.
