Blood test may predict Post-Surgery pain, study hints

NCT ID NCT07353138

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a routine blood test taken before septorhinoplasty (nose surgery) can help predict how much pain a person will feel right after the operation. Researchers will check the ratio of two types of white blood cells (neutrophils and lymphocytes) and other blood markers, then compare them to pain scores reported by patients in the recovery room. No new treatments or changes to standard care are involved—this is purely an observational study to gather information.
