New hope for inoperable lung cancer: Radiation-Boosting nanoparticle trial opens

NCT ID NCT07224152

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether adding an experimental nanoparticle called NBTXR3 to standard radiation therapy can better control advanced lung cancer. It's for up to 40 patients whose cancer cannot be removed by surgery and who are not candidates for chemotherapy. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if the combination is effective at shrinking tumors.
