New ventilator mode studied in lung injury recovery

Summary
This study tested a new way of helping patients breathe after a lung injury. It compared different levels of a special ventilator mode called NAVA to see how it affected breathing and comfort. Fifteen adults in intensive care took part. The goal was to learn how the body responds, not to cure the lung injury.
