New hope for chemo patients: trial aims to stop debilitating nausea

NCT ID NCT07413809

Summary

This study is comparing two different combinations of anti-nausea medications to see which one works better at preventing severe, delayed nausea and vomiting in multiple myeloma patients undergoing high-dose chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. It involves 92 patients across 11 hospitals who are randomly assigned to receive one of the two drug regimens. The goal is to find a more effective way to control these difficult side effects and improve patients' quality of life during this intense treatment.
