Scientists test nasal spray to calm brain inflammation in rare neurological disease

NCT ID NCT06868628

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a nasal spray called foralumab can reduce harmful brain inflammation and slow disease progression in people with multiple system atrophy (MSA), a rare and serious neurological disorder. The trial will enroll 5 patients to check the treatment's safety and see if it can improve symptoms and brain scans over 6 months. Researchers hope this approach could offer a new way to manage this currently incurable condition.
