Could a simple nasal spray ease chronic pain?
NCT ID NCT04903002
Summary
This study is testing whether a nasal spray containing oxytocin, a natural body chemical, can help manage chronic pain. Over 300 adults with long-term nerve, muscle, or pelvic pain will try two different doses of the spray and a placebo spray over several weeks. Researchers will measure if the oxytocin spray leads to less pain and better daily function compared to the placebo.
