Summary
This large Phase 3 trial tested whether a nitric oxide nasal spray could prevent people from catching COVID-19. Nearly 1,400 healthy adults who had never had COVID used the spray or a placebo up to three times daily for 28 days. The main goal was to see if the spray reduced the number of people who developed a confirmed, symptomatic COVID-19 infection.
