New combo spray could offer lasting relief for stuffy noses

NCT ID NCT06830109

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a common decongestant (oxymetazoline) together with a steroid nasal spray can better relieve chronic nasal blockage than the steroid spray alone. About 80 adults who haven't gotten enough relief from standard treatments will use the sprays daily for 4 weeks. The goal is to see if the combination is both safe and more effective without causing rebound congestion.
