Shining a light on surgical safety: can a nasal treatment stop infections?
NCT ID NCT07189858
Summary
This study is testing if a special nasal light treatment given right before surgery can help prevent wound infections. It will compare the treatment to standard care in about 4,740 adults having major surgeries like heart, bone, or brain operations. The main goal is to see if the treatment safely lowers the chance of getting an infection in the 30 days after surgery.
