Summary

This study tests a method to help prevent decompression sickness (the bends) in astronauts during spacewalks. Healthy volunteers aged 18-50 will breathe pure oxygen for 6 hours, then spend 6 hours in a low-pressure chamber while doing exercises. Researchers will monitor for bubbles in the blood and any symptoms of decompression sickness to improve safety protocols.
