Could smaller skin cancer surgeries work just as well?
NCT ID NCT06673095
Summary
This study is testing whether removing a smaller border of healthy skin around an early-stage melanoma is as effective at preventing the cancer's return as the current standard of removing a wider border. It will enroll 1,000 adults with early-stage melanoma to see if the narrower surgery leads to fewer complications, better cosmetic results, and similar cancer control. The goal is to find a less invasive treatment option that maintains safety while improving patients' quality of life.
