Summary
This study tests whether a 20-minute writing exercise about your future self can help high school graduates drink less and avoid alcohol problems. About 468 recent grads or seniors will try different versions of the writing task and be followed for a year. The goal is to see if this simple activity can change how strongly they identify with drinking and reduce risky alcohol use.
