First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether a group therapy called narrative therapy can reduce depression in people aged 60 and older. Participants will attend eight sessions led by a trained counselor, where they share and reshape their life stories. The study includes 110 older adults with mild to moderate depression, comparing those who get therapy right away to those on a waitlist. The goal is to see if this approach improves mood and reduces self-stigma.
