Tiny magnets heat and attack advanced cancer in new trial

NCT ID NCT07224464

Summary

This early study is testing the safety of a new, one-time treatment for people with advanced solid tumors that have spread and are no longer responding to standard therapies. Participants receive an injection of tiny magnetic particles that travel to the tumor. A few hours later, a special machine uses a safe, non-ionizing magnetic field to heat up those particles inside the tumor, aiming to damage the cancer cells. The main goal is to find a safe dose and see how well people tolerate the procedure.
