Scientists develop 'Nano-Ink' to treat Babies' skull fusion without surgery
NCT ID NCT07535372
Summary
This research aims to develop a personalized treatment for rare genetic disorders where babies' skull bones fuse too early, causing abnormal head shape and brain growth problems. Scientists are creating a special 'nano-ink' containing customized genetic medicine that could be applied to affected skull areas to prevent abnormal bone growth. The goal is to reduce the need for repeated, risky surgeries that are currently the only treatment option for these conditions.
