Dental study aims to save Kids' teeth with common supplement

NCT ID NCT03451435

Summary

This early study tested whether adding a supplement called N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) during a special dental procedure could help save infected, immature teeth in children and teenagers. The goal was to see if NAC helped the tooth's own stem cells grow stronger, longer roots. The study was small and ended early, and it aimed to control the dental disease, not provide a one-time cure.
