Could a common antioxidant improve root canal recovery?

Summary
This study tests whether adding N-acetylcysteine (NAC) to standard root canal treatment can reduce pain and improve healing in people with infected, dead teeth. Forty adults with mature teeth and signs of infection around the root tip will receive either NAC or a standard medication inside the tooth, plus NAC pills. Pain levels and bone healing will be checked over six months.
