Summary

This study tested whether giving N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) through an IV can help people who have had a stroke. NAC is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory drug already used safely for other conditions. The trial enrolled 4 adults with acute ischemic stroke to see if it improves brain function and quality of life over 90 days.
