Summary

This study tested whether giving N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) through a vein could help people having an acute ischemic stroke. NAC is an antioxidant already used safely for other conditions. The trial enrolled 4 adults with stroke symptoms, giving them NAC or a placebo for 20 hours. Researchers checked their recovery at 30 and 90 days using standard stroke scales.
