Blood tests may reveal hidden bone and muscle risks in menopause
NCT ID NCT07519551
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at two substances in the blood, myostatin and irisin, and how they relate to bone density and muscle strength in women after menopause. Researchers will measure these levels in 60 women and compare them across groups with normal bone density, osteopenia, and osteoporosis. The goal is to better understand the links between muscle and bone health, which could help identify risks for fractures or weakness.
