Eye drops vs. special contacts: the battle to halt worsening vision

NCT ID NCT06450132

Summary

This study is investigating whether two common treatments—low-dose atropine eye drops or special multifocal contact lenses—can slow the progression of nearsightedness in young adults. Researchers are measuring how these treatments change the shape of the eye over one year. They are comparing results from 75 participants using one of the treatments to those using no intervention.
