Scientists use High-Tech scans to decode the mystery of muscle pain

NCT ID NCT06060925

Summary

This study aimed to find better, more objective ways to measure chronic muscle pain (myofascial pain). Researchers used advanced imaging and sensing techniques on 96 adults, some with neck/shoulder pain and some without, to look for physical signs in the muscles and tissues. The goal was to create a tool that could help doctors better understand a patient's specific type of pain in the future, which could lead to more personalized treatment plans.
