Lupus flare may swell heart muscle, MRI study aims to find out

Summary

This study looks at whether lupus flares cause swelling in the heart muscle. Researchers will use cardiac MRI to check 40 adults with active lupus for heart inflammation during a flare and again 3 months later. The goal is to better understand how lupus affects the heart.
