New hope for PCOS: supplement may boost ovulation drug success
NCT ID NCT03059173
First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding myo-inositol (a natural supplement) to the standard ovulation drug clomiphene citrate helps women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) ovulate more successfully. About 276 women who want to get pregnant will be randomly assigned to receive either myo-inositol or a placebo, alongside clomiphene. The goal is to see if the supplement reduces the number of women who do not respond to clomiphene alone.
