Summary
This pilot study tests a self-guided digital program called MyGENESIS-PATH, designed to help donor-conceived adults cope with stress related to identity, family, and DNA testing. Sixty participants will be randomly assigned to either use the program right away or join a waitlist. The main goal is to see if the program is feasible and acceptable, and to measure changes in stress and well-being.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- digital psychoeducational program
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could provide a low-cost, accessible way to help donor-conceived people cope with stress and identity challenges.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small pilot study (60 people) testing feasibility, not effectiveness. The program is self-guided, so engagement may vary, and results may not apply to everyone.
