Soothing sounds for tiniest patients: can music calm newborn pain?
NCT ID NCT06951269
Summary
This study is testing whether live music therapy can help reduce pain in newborns with a brain injury caused by lack of oxygen during birth. These babies are undergoing a cooling treatment to protect their brains, but routine nursing care can still cause them pain and stress. Researchers will compare standard care to standard care plus a 15-minute music session to see if the music helps the babies feel more comfortable.
