Music as medicine: new study tests if tunes can soothe sick kids on ventilators

Summary
This study looks at whether listening to live or recorded music can help lower stress and pain in children who are on breathing machines in the intensive care unit. About 171 children, ages 2 months to 17 years, will take part. Researchers will measure stress and pain using saliva tests and heart rate monitors to see if music makes a difference.
